Erin’s journey into the world of nonprofit work began at the young age of 16 when she joined her local Neighbourhood House organization. Little did she know, this early experience would set the stage for her remarkable career at KidSafe.

During the challenging times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Erin found her way to KidSafe. She initially worked on-site, allowing her to witness firsthand the profound impact of KidSafe’s programs. Eventually, Erin transitioned to a permanent role with the KidSafe office staff, a role in which she felt her strengths were drawn upon while also presenting her with new and challenging professional opportunities. Erin continues to embrace these challenges as a way to flex her new skills and grow alongside a fantastic team.

Erin’s connection with KidSafe goes beyond just being an employee; she truly loves being a part of the vibrant Vancouver community. Her curiosity for people’s stories and her dedication to understanding social issues make he a vital asset to the organization. Most importantly, Erin has a deep love for the children KidSafe serves. She firmly believes in prioritizing play and having fun, recognizing that these elements are essential for children’s growth and well-being.

Looking ahead, Erin envisions a future where KidSafe continues to create safe spaces for children to simply be kids. Her vision is to lean into imagination, joy, silliness, and play, ensuring that as many children as possible have access to these vital elements of childhood. With Erin’s dedication and passion, KidSafe is in a better place than ever to continue making a positive impact through our programs.
